Folk is alive north of Toronto.

The Barrie Folk Society is active throughout the year and is planning “A Gala with Dala” On Friday, June 9, 2006 at the Barrie Public Library. This evening showcases Dala - the popular young duo from Toronto who wowed audiences at the first annual BarrieFolk: Roots Music Festival last November. This will be a fundraiser for the second annual BarrieFolk: Roots Music Festival.
The Gala event starts at 6:30 p.m. with a wine and cheese reception and silent auction. The Dala concert begins at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 (includes a complimentary glass of wine) and are available from the Library. Call 728-1010 to reserve tickets with your Visa card.
