Ontario Fresh Asparagus--first sign of spring

Where I live close to Barrie Ontario, there are a number of Simcoe County farms selling their fresh asparagus. My first taste was the other night at a friends house. It was sweet, tender and delicious--served with a little salt, pepper and hot butter.
