Ontario Tourist Attractions-Military History North of Toronto

With the recent article in the Toronto Sun about 55,000 cadets training at Base Borden, it reminds me of my own family and our military history. There is an excellent military museum at Base Borden providing a fun visit for families visiting the Barrie Area, and a reminder of the price of freedom we so often forget.

The Huronia Museum in Midland Ontario is re-opening the Military Exhibit Room after an extensive refurbishing. Opening ceremonies take place Friday May 12, 2006 at the Huronia Museum.
