Ontario Road Trips--Lots of Ontario Travel Selections

Summer is on its way when the travel media start talking about road trips, or great drives as identified by the Ministry of Tourism . Doug English captures the essence of the Ontario road trip in his editorial "Road-tripping around Ontario in today's Toronto Sun with several routes from the travel Ontario web site. The Spring Driving Trips (Look for unusual sites,the Haliburton Shoe Tree-Photo) on this web site are equally valid for Summer Driving Trips, or for the Fall colors Road Trips and provide detailed routes with accommodation stops as well as attractions.
Earlier in the week there was a special advertising supplement published in the Wed. May 17, 2006 Globe and Mail called Explore Ontario. This supplement was in conjunction with a Ford promotion. Although not all are driving trips, in all cases you will need to drive somewhere to start the trip. Wildlife viewing during the spring is much better, as the full foliage has yet to appear.
