Summer and Fall Road Trips North and East of Toronto

Today's Globe and Mail Auto section featured "The Unspoiled Trail of the Loyalists", by Michael Vaughan. An excellent resource for history buffs, this story provides readers with insight into the historical development of early Ontario with a number of suggestions for site seeing during this 700 km trip around the north east section of the Province running along Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River to the 1000 Islands. Kingston is a good overnight destination point on this trip, and there are several Kingston Hotels you can book on-line. For more fall road trip ideas please check our suggested fall colour travel routes into Ontario's resort and tourist destinations north and east of Toronto.
