Highway 400 North Barrie Ontario
Avoid Highway 400 and Highway 11 gridlock traffic when travelling north of Toronto this summer.
Take a turn and visit Barrie Waterfront, for a quick stop, break, or swim along one of the most beautiful waterfronts in Ontario. A variety of restaurants, play area for the kids, and beaches are close by for your enjoyment. If you don't have time to stop, at least you will be able to proceed around the lake back on to Highway 11 or 400.
Depending on where you enter the Barrie city limits you will see signs directing you to the Barrie waterfront.
Most signs are at eye level and can be easily viewed with direction arrows.

The Barrie waterfront Centennial Beach is my favorite.
There are several beaches in Barrie. The main part of the Barrie Beach area with the most activities for children is at the Centenial Beach.
