Eastern Ontario

Eastern Ontario is considered by many to start when Lake Ontario narrows to become the St. Lawrence River. When heading to Eastern Ontario from Toronto, you are actually travelling in a northeast direction.

The major route is the Macdonald Cartier Freeway, however it is nice to get off and enjoy a back roads Eastern Ontario road trip.   Ottawa, Canada's capital is located in Eastern Ontario. Eastern Ontario Travel Designations

The Government of Ontario has designated South Eastern Ontario, Ottawa and Countryside as the major tourism regions of Eastern Ontario. 

Elmvale and Elmira are home to some of the largest maple syrup festivals in North America. Often called the seniors capital of Ontario, Elliot Lake is home to great valued real estate and an outdoors lifestyle. Elora, a quaint charming town, home to the famous Elora Gorge, and great kayaking and tubing. Euginia, is famous for its falls, and views over the Beaver Valley.
