Cookstown Tree Lighting Santa Parade |
|||||||||
|
The delights of both a Santa Claus parade and a tree lighting ceremony in Cookstown Ontario (south of Barrie-north of Toronto) showed an old fashioned Christmas fun feeling in a community proud of their heritage and traditions. A fun carnival atmosphere where free popcorn & apple cider, complimentary hors d'horeves demonstated friendly country hospitality. See Cookstown History Additonal fun activities included window shopping to see the best displays, a studio tour that runs two days. and of course people watching (especially smiling and laughing children), and a little pre Christmas shopping at the same time. Consider a visit to Cookstown this holiday season. Accommodation is available in Barrie or Alliston. Cookstown is located at the junction of HWY 89 & HWY 27 east of HWY 400 north of Toronto in Simcoe County See additional Ontario locations for Festivals of Lights and tree lighting ceremonies in 2009-2010 Click on image to inlarge
