The Highway 11 Way
Cottage country in Ontario for many will start in Barrie and the junction of Highway 400 and Highway 11. During the winter months this is the Snowbelt, often called the Barrie Snowbelt where the snow is deeper and whiter and lasts longer for winter recreation enthusiasts. The towns and cities on Highway 11 are the start to many Ontario road trips, especially during the spring, summer and fall months.

Nestled between Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe, Orillia is easily accessible off of Highway 11 or Highway 12 north of Barrie. The Port of Orillia has excellent docking facilites for boaters travelling along the Historic Trent-Severn Waterway. Orillia personalities include Steven Leacock (Sunshine City) and Canadian icon Gordon Lightfoot.

Bracebridge is considered the heart of the Muskoka region's cottage country and offers excellent getaways and travelling experiences that lets you escape Easily accessible off of Highway 11, between Gravenhurst and Huntsville north of Barrie. Famous for the Iron Bridge that crosses the Muskoka River, Bracebridge and the Octagonal House, Woodchester Villa built in 1882.

Huntsville Muskoka
Huntsville Muskoka Ontario is one of Canada's premiere resort destinations dissected by Highway 11 and Highway 60. Highway 60 links to the Algonquin Area and Canada's Capital Ottawa. Huntsville is often considered the heart of Muskoka and was chosen to host to the 2010 G8 Summit A trip to the Huntsville area will quickly define the beauty of this "Muskokas" location where Fairy Lake and Lake Vernon join to become the Muskoka River flowing to Marry Lake, Port Sydney and eventually Georgian Bay.
