The Horseshoe Valley area is a bit north west of Barrie and south west of Orillia and is easily accessible via HWY 400, HWY 12, HWY 26, HWY 93. All roads lead to the Horseshoe Valley Road, also know as Simcoe Country Road 22.

Horseshoe Valley is a year round summer, fall, spring and winter resort destination offering skiing, golf, hiking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ATV Trails, birdwatching, hunting, fishing and adventure.  Fall months offer spectacular fall colour road trip drives.  Horseshoe valley is close to Lake Simcoe to the east and Georgian Bay to the north west.   The area is associated with Oro-Medonte Township in Simcoe County.   Recreation also includes new parks including a unique fitness park, the first of its kind in Ontario with a hiking trail between the new Memorial Park.  See Google Map below
