Parks are interesting attractions with outdoor recreation activities available. Visitors to cottage country & resort destinations have a number of spectacular provincial and national parks to visit.

Best Ontario Parks to Visit

Our accommodation members are all close to many spectacular park areas that are must see attractions on a day trip during your getaway or vacation north in Ontario. Each year Canada's Parks Day is the third Saturday in July where a number of parks hold special events and activities.  Some offer free admission or free activities. Parks Canada offers free admission on Canada Day.

Parks with admission costs

Most provincial and national parks have admission fees.  Parks Canada runs many National Historic Sites, some of which charge an admission fee. 

Camping at parks

Most parks offer camping on site for visitors wanting to make the day trip into an overnight experience. Check reservations for provincial parks and reservations at national parks. Parks with no admission costs

There are many park areas, municipal forests, nature reserves available for outdoor recreation use at no charge.
