Barrie to Penetanguishene Backroad Trip

Driving Distance: Barrie To Penetang: 55 Km- Driving Time 60 minutes

Travel via the Barrie-Penetanguishene Road until it becomes Simcoe County Road 93 North.

This was one of the first military roads in Canada.

Simcoe County rolling country side starts in Barrie as you proceed to Highway 93. Drive North from Crown hill to Dalston, Craighurst, Wyebridge and the town of Penetanguishene.

Watch for farmers' markets along Highway 93.

As you drive into Penetanquishene notice the road changes to Main Street and Highway 93 ends.

Continue driving into Penetanguishene to the waterfront area of Penetang Harbour & Georgian Bay.

Keep to your right and watch for signs directing you to Discovery Harbour. Notice the Lakeside Park with statue of Kitchigami, describing the historic First Nations legend, also see Ecological Garden (Parc Ecologique) on your left......A nice place for an after dinner walk before the Kings Wharf Theatre. Enjoy a cocktail at Captain Roberts Table watching pre-show entertainment and spectacular views of Penetanguishene Harbour and Georgian Bay

Return Trip to Barrie
