Farmers' markets will be full of fresh Ontario
maple syrup now that the maple sap harvests have started. The vegetable
season will be offering fresh asparagus in the near future. Roadside stands
can be a fun part a day road trip, staycation or weekend
getaway. Many markets are open all year, however the start of the
season in the spring and the fall harvest season provide some of the best
selections of fresh produce. March and April are times to explore Ontario's
rural communities with a Spring
Road Trip. Fall
road trips and colours explode with farm fresh displays. As you proceed
into the Holland Marsh area
on Highway 400, you know you are in fresh produce country. Communities
north of Toronto enjoy a rural lifestyle where fresh goods and services
are home grown or grown on the family owned farm. Visitors are assured
of fresh tasty food, farm fresh produce, beef, pork and lamb. Ontario's
small sized farms have fresh grown produce in vacation and cottage country
from southern to northern Ontario. Many Ontario’s
Fall Fairs will have fresh baked goods and produce available. Backyard
