The Briars Resort &

Golf has been a Briars tradition since 1922, when Stanley
Thompson, Canada's premier golf course architect, designed the original
9-hole course. In 1971, under the direction of notable course designer,
C.E. "Robbie" Robinson, the golf course was expanded to 18 holes.

Delawana Pines Golf Course
The Delawana Pines offers a nine (9) hole "Pitch and Putt" course
coupled with a 185-yard iron range. The range facilities feature target
greens complete with water hazards, water fountains, sand
traps, trees, shrubs & gardens.
Pro Sho
The Delawana Pines pro shop has custom club making equipment, a large
selection of putters, pitching and sand wedges and golf apparel.
Lessons
Lessons are available throughout the season when booked in advance. Half
hour and one-hour lessons are available. Guests staying for a week can
take advantage of the 5 or 10 lesson package.
Delawana Junior Golf Camp (Summer Only)
For children aged 7-16 a camp experience that includes group supervised
professional instruction, course play, daily lunch and swim periods and

golf destination it is today. Dense woods of maple, oak and pine define
its boundaries of play, while creeks, ponds and striking granite outcrops
add a rugged ambiance. Each nine consists of five par 4's, two par 3's
and two par 5's for a classically well-balanced design. The course is
7011 yards, has a par of 72, and is 75.1 with a slope of 140.
In the shadow of Eagle's Nest Lookout and adjacent to the York River,
this beautiful award winning 18 hole course winds through 500 acres in
Bancroft. Players can tee off from any of the four tee boxes, making it
fun for the whole family. On site is a driving range, practice areas and
a fully licensed club house that can accommodate up to 150 people.
