The Briars Resort & Spa

Golf has been a Briars tradition since 1922, when Stanley Thompson, Canada's premier golf course architect, designed the original 9-hole course. In 1971, under the direction of notable course designer, C.E. "Robbie" Robinson, the golf course was expanded to 18 holes.

Nottawasaga Inn Resort

Nottawasaga Resort is the only resort in Ontario surrounded by 45 regulation holes of golf.  Considered a golfer’s paradise we offer two courses, the Nottawasaga and the Ridge, as well as two driving ranges, Pro Shops and practice greens.  

The picturesque 27 holes of the Nottawasaga Course feature tight fairways, mature trees and manicured greens. Perhaps the greatest challenge is the way the course winds its way over and around the looming water hazards of the Nottawasaga River. 

The Ridge Course is a demanding par 71 and has carved some superb holes through tight, tree lined fairways with dramatic elevation changes and undulating greens. At 6625 yards, the Ridge course requires accuracy and will challenge even the most avid golfer.

Deerhurst Lakeside, the resort's original course, is considered by many to be one of Ontario's hidden gems, and offers a gentle but surprisingly challenging round for all skill levels. Dense woods of maple, oak and pine define its boundaries of play, while creeks, ponds and striking granite outcrops add a rugged ambiance. Each nine consists of five par 4's, two par 3's and two par 5's for a classically well-balanced design. The course is 7011 yards, has a par of 72, and is 75.1 with a slope of 140.
