February 2008 Ice Fishing Derbies
Ontario celebrates Free
Family Ice Fishing Weekend on Feb 24, 25. Ice fishing is very
good on the larger lakes such as Lake Simcoe and Lake Nipissing,
and Georgian Bay however, the fishing is equally as good on many
of the smaller Lakes throughout the north and northern Ontario.

Sat., Feb.16 from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. e. Registration (at the marked
hut) is $10 per person and fishing is in accordance with '08-'09
Ontario Regulations. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be for sale
from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and prizes will be given out for the largest
pike and pickerel. The day wraps up with presentations at Trudeau's
Resort at 7 p.m. and proceeds from the derby will go to FOSL.
