Algonquin Park Area Spring Resort Adventures

The beauty of spring in the Algonquin Park area can be an adventurous outdoor experience. Spring is one of the best times of the year to see moose and deer before the foliage fills in. It is not unusual to see Moose browsing beside the roads in the Highway 60 corridor. There is a variety of accommodation in the area and a number of road trips in and around the Algonquin area Canoeing is one of the preferred methods to get into the interior of the park, however a number of hiking trails also will get you into the interior of Algonquin Park. Art and Decor and Ontario's Fall Colours

The practical and sensual side of fall colours is explored in this weekends Globe and Mail, "Lessons of the Fall" by Janice Lindsay (Page L8). It is interesting that the references to fall colours included paintings, such as the Pines of Georgian Bay by Author Lismer, a new carpet design based on the Thompson's Autumn Foliage, probably started in Algonquin Parkand A.Y. Jackson's Muskosh River. For fall colour lovers there is a reference to Para Paints, 2002 Group of Seven Colour Collection, and a colour collection from Pittsburgh Paints. Colour names of some of the paints such as Hardwood forest, Smoked Pumpkin, and Apple-A-Day give the all kinds of possibilities to the decorative quality of our living spaces. Just reading the article emerges one into many delicious colour phrases and feelings. Inspiration north of Toronto seems to be the norm. For those wanting to expand their fall colour road trips, check out the possibilities at Fall Colour Road Trips north of Toronto.

Fall Colours Update September 21 Ontario-Algonquin Park Area

Ontario Travel Fall Colour Report

Algonquin Provincial Park
is an extremely popular fall colour destination. The colour has advanced quickly this week to a 50% change. There are some areas of burgundy and bright red and orange along Highway 60. The Highway 60 corridor, through the park, offers an outstanding fall colour drive. An ideal viewing location, during the fall colour period in Algonquin Park, is the view from the observation deck at the world class visitor centre. Ragged Falls, just off highway 60 outside the west gate of the park, also offers an ideal viewing location. Suggested Algonquin area fall colour road trips .
