Maple Syrup Report for Week of March 23, 2009-North of Toronto

Central, northern and eastern maple producing regions should see some ideal sap flow conditions with consecutive freezing nights and thawing days predicted. Weather forecasts for the upcoming week in later areas predict that sap flow may be very good early in the week, again late in the week and continue into next weekend.

March-April. Between Barrie and Orillia, there is a Pancake House, and maple bush fun. Percheron horses will take you through the maple wonderland. When the snow melts we trade the sleigh for a wagon. Rides are available on weekends during March and April, usually around lunch time
