Throughout the spring, summer and fall months an Ontario road trip through Algonquin Park is a must. With all of the CBC fuss over Canada's Seven Wonders, it is time to finally put canoeing or kayaking experience into place. I was surprised by the number of callers to CBC who had never been in a canoe.

An ideal trip might involve a trip to Peterborough Ontario and the Canadian Canoe Museum, a paddle along the Trent-Severn, followed by a Drive to Ottawa and the Museum of Civilization to see the largest (longest canoe in Canada);
Or, just get out to a lakeside resort or cottage and take your family canoeing and paddling this summer. Experience one of the many canoe and kayak getaways north in Ontario.
