Algonquin Park Beaches-Clean & Cool Fresh Water

Algonquin Park provides Beach and Canoeing Opportunities
Throughout the spring, summer and fall months an Ontario road trip through Algonquin Park is a must. One can take a fresh dip at one of the sandy beach areas for a quick swim or rent a canoe for an all Canadian experience. Algonquin area information on park admissions can be found at Algonquin Park's Official Website or visiting Ontario resort destinations.

Ontario Summer Canoe "Road Trip" North

With all of the CBC fuss over Canada's Seven Wonders, it is time to finally put canoeing or kayaking experience into place. I was surprised by the number of callers to CBC who had never been in a canoe.

An ideal trip might involve a trip to Peterborough Ontario and the Canadian Canoe Museum, a paddle along the Trent-Severn, followed by a Drive to Ottawa and the Museum of Civilization to see the largest (longest canoe in Canada);
Or, just get out to a lakeside resort or cottage and take your family canoeing and paddling this summer. Experience one of the many canoe and kayak getaways north in Ontario.

See more information on Canada’s Icon-The Canoe.
