Parry Sound on Georgian Bay is a year round cottage country community north of Barrie on Highway 400 before you reach Sudbury. The beauty of Parry Sound is renowned and chosen as the site to launch the Ontario summer season on Breakfast Television for the 2011 season.

Location

Parry Sound's vision is to be the world renowned jewel of the 30,000 Islands on Georgian Bay. The town has the largest natural harbour on Georgian Bay and is the birthplace of hockey legend, Bobby Orr.

With many recreational activities, clubs and organizations to get involved in, Parry Sound offers something for everyone, regardless of age. Whether it's sightseeing in your own boat or on the 30,000 Island Cruise Boat, camping or enjoying cottage life, swimming, snorkeling, water-skiing, fishing or just enjoying the sun on a sandy beach, when Georgian Bay is involved, you just can't get enough! Winter time brings a whole new life of activities including snowmobiling, (nine volunteer clubs within the area), cross country skiing, ice fishing, dog sledding, snowshoeing and much more.
