Powassan, Ontario (North Bay Region)

The municipality of Powassan encompasses the communities of Trout Creek, Powassan and South Himsworth. All three of these communities are located on Highway 11 just south of North Bay and about 3 hours north of Toronto. These three communities are small sized towns that offer a wide variety of recreational activities. Powassan (population of 1200), Trout Creek (population 700) and South Himsworth (population 1526) offer such activities as fishing (with several lakes close by), snowmobiling (the trails are great in the winter), and great golfing (Highview Golf Course in Powassan).

Loring-Restoule Vacationland: South of Lake Nipissing, encompassing the French River lies an Ontario Vacation paradise. The area is located betwe en Highway 11 and Highway 69
