Ontario Winter Games Continue March 4-7

Ontario Winter GamesNorth of Toronto............... March will see the the province’s largest multi-sport competition. Funded largely by the Province of Ontario, this premier event takes place every two years. A comination of indoor and winter sports including Alpine Skiing, Biathalon, Cross Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing,. Men's Hockey, Women's Hockey, Snowboarding and Speed Skating. 7,500+ visitors are expected to visit Muskoka and Sudbury to see the Games. Family and friends of the athletes make up a large percentage of the spectators, however, the communities involved also have a strong presence particularly at events like the Opening Ceremonies. The Ontario Winter Games is a unique multi-sport event that provides young athletes with development and competitive opportunities that prepare them for national and international competitions. The event is scheduled for March 4-7, 2010. The majority of the events will be held in Muskoka with some of the competitions – 5 pin bowling, diving, speed skating and squash – being held in Sudbury. Approximately 3,300 athletes, coaches, officials and 1,100 volunteers and are expected to converge on the region during the games. It is estimated that the games will generate between $3 and $4 million in economic benefits for the local economy. The Ontario Games is a program of the Ministry of Health Promotion and delivered by the Sport Alliance of Ontario.

Quality Venues: Muskoka boasts world class facilities including the newly opened Jack Bionda Centre , The Bracebridge Sport Complex, The Ben Avery Diving & Aquatic Center at Laurentian University, the Alpine center at Mount Saint Louis Moonstone, Muskoka Woods Sports Center, the Baysville Arena, and the new Gravenhurst Wharf .

One Day All Access Pass - $10.00/pass

The One Day All Access Pass allows spectators into ANY of the 2010 Ontario Winter Games sport venues for one full day of events. This pass can be used between multiple sport venues over the course of one day. (*Excluding Opening Ceremonies*)

The Full Games All Access Pass allows spectators into ANY of the 2010 Ontario Winter Games sport venues for all sport events. This pass can be used between multiple sport venues over the course of the 2010 Ontario Winter Games. (*Excluding Opening Ceremonies*)
