Resorts of North Muskoka Prepare for a busy Winter Season

The Resorts of North Muskoka, (www.north-muskoka.com) a collection of 15 lakeside resorts in the Huntsville/Lake of Bays/Algonquin Park region are busy preparing for the arrival of winter guests.  Winter in North Muskoka brings many exciting 'resorting' opportunities.  Frozen lakes, cold starry nights, and freshly groomed cross country ski trails, are just a few of the images that come to mind when you think of North Muskoka in the winter.  In addition to many recreational activities, the Resorts of North Muskoka offer great opportunities to hibernate in style with cozy cabins and rooms, fireplaces and even hot tubs.

Bondi Village has been busy preparing their 20km(!) of cross country trails.  Some of the best trails in all of Muskoka are found here.

Tally Ho Inn is prepping their 2 person Ice hut which is free of charge for guests to go out and try and land the BIG ONE.

Foxwood Resort's quiet, natural location is perfect for a midnight guided snowshoe trek.  All equipment is free of charge for guests.

After a five year hibernation, Pow Wow Point Lodge is excited to be expanding their winter options to guests.  The Beech Cottage with both suites and rooms and the main Lodge will remain open and our lakeside dining room will be open on weekends throughout the winter.

For over 40 years guests have enjoyed a special New Years at the Norsemen Restaurant. Enjoy a memorable evening of fine dining in their old Muskoka lodge and dancing by a roaring fireplace to ring in the new year. Guests of "Resorts of North Muskoka" receive a 10% discount.

Beauview Cottage Resort has a great winter special: From January 9, 2012 offered Monday to Thursday$179/cottage per night per cottage, for any cottage with a personal hot tub with a 2 night minimum stay. All the cottages have kitchens, satellite TV, gas fireplaces and wireless internet. And snowshoes are available at no extra charge

At Cedar Grove lodge preparations are underway to create a great lake skating rink, with a small fireplace to warm up your toes before and after of course!
