Celebrate the Rich Heritage of Georgian Bay, Port Severn & Honey Harbour

Georgian Bay Port Severn/Honey Harbour, May 2011.......The Just Add Water Festival will take place on May 27-29 in the communities of Port Severn and Honey Harbour. Parks Canada is celebrating 100 years of service in this a gateway to the nationally significant Trent Severn Historic Waterway and Georgian Bay Islands National Park.  Family activities will include pancake breakfasts, exhibits, street vendors, in-water displays along with antique boat show, the Tug Trent and much more.  A free open air country music concert featuring Jason McCoy and Marc Ekins Band Saturday night at Port Severn.

The  Delawana Inn celebrates with the Just Add Water Festival
The Delawana will host a community breakfast with boat rides to Georgian Bay Islands National Park giving a sneak peek into upgrades on the island.
A marketplace throughout Honey Harbour will showcase artists, crafts and more.
A full slate of activities is in store for Delawana visitors Sunday. The Parks Canada mascot, a 16-foot inflatable beaver will be on hand.  At 1 p.m. the Del will host a free children’s show in the Huron Room, featuring Dickie Bird. Georgian Bay Festival Itinerary

Friday May 27
The Just Add Water Festival will take place on May 27-29 in the communities of Port Severn and Honey Harbour Friday, May 27 will host school children from the area in a day designed to educate about the importance of our ecosystems and how we can be a responsible part of them.  A “Wines of the World” Jazz Festival will also take place later in the day.

Saturday May 28
A day of family activities will be kicked off on Saturday May 28 in Port Severn with a pancake breakfast, followed by exhibits, vendors, and live music; historic tours; and in-water displays including antique boats and the Tug Trent.

Sunday May 29

Sunday May 29 is the day to discover the refurbishments that have taken place at Cedar Spring campground on Beausoleil’ Island, as an open house for the community will be hosted by Georgian Bay Islands National Park. Boats can be taken from the Parks Canada dock in Honey Harbour and also the Delawana Inn’s – Spa and Conference Resort. FREE boat shuttle transportation and Park Admission. 

Access the Honey Harbour Port Severn and Historic Trent Severn Waterway by boat, or by Highway 400 north of Toronto.
