Fun Pass Free Kids' Tickets to 7 North of Tornto Attractions

Elementary School Students Get In Free At Provincial Attractions From
July to Sept 4

TORONTO, June 5 /CNW/ - Parents can plan affordable outings with their kids this summer by using Ontario's 2006 More to Discover Fun Pass, which includes one free children's admission to seven north of Toronto provincial attractions and a discount for families visiting Ontario parks, Tourism Minister Jim Bradley and Culture Minister Caroline Di Cocco announced today.

"We are on the side of hard-working Ontario families, and this pass makes Ontario's exciting attractions and parks more affordable for everyone this summer," said Bradley. The Fun Pass, worth more than $120 in ticket prices for all attractions,is being distributed to 1.4 million elementary school students across the province over the next few weeks. All school boards in Ontario are being
invited to participate in the program. Launched last year as a pilot program involving five school boards, the pass has expanded this year to include school boards throughout Ontario.

The Fun Pass will also help boost local tourism in our communities by giving families free tickets to attractions across the province. In 2004, 75 per cent of tourists in the province were Ontario residents.

Participating attractions and agencies include:

- Discovery Harbour - Fort Henry - Fort William Historical Park - Sainte Marie among the Hurons - McMichael Canadian Art Collection - Science North - Upper Canada Village

"Kids can continue to learn, stay active and have fun this summer through the historic, natural, scientific, artistic and recreational experiences offered through the pass," said Di Cocco. "It's a win-win for children and their parents."
