Treat mom to a special Ontario may
getaway north of Toronto, or consider a spa gift certificate for a
present. Mom can use the gift certificate throughout the year and take
a spa getaway on her own. Mother's Day Weekend Most spa
getaway locations will sell gift certificates for day
spa gift, overnight spa or weekend spa getaways. Make this Mother's
Day special for mom.
Provide Mom with a special gift, one that does not involve cooking,
or her arranging for take-out. Most Mom's would prefer a little rest and
relaxation and pampering. Flowers are nice however taking her on a spring
garden tour might be nicer or a special mother-daughter getaway.

If you are away and not close to mom make sure of the The Phone
Call—plan this ahead—know when Mom will be at home and not on
her way out the door because your brother or sister is taking her out
for brunch. Plan to have the grandchildren ready to say Happy Mother’s
Day—this will probably mean more than anything you can do or say.
The Mother's Day Card—this is very personal thing. Plan
early and try to pick this out ahead of time or have the kids make one.

pampers is always a safe bet.
Breakfast in Bed: Planning to surprise your Mum with
breakfast in bed? Choose healthy options like fruit with low fat yogurt
and a toasted raisin cinnamon bagel or poached eggs on wholemeal toast

Say it with flowers: Some lovely blooms will be just
as welcome as chocolates but are heart healthier with none of the fat
