Exceptional Features and Breathtaking Entertainment Expected
to Attract
Record Audience to the Toronto Ski, Snowboard & Travel Show
Toronto, Ontario, August 21, 2006 - - - When the Toronto Ski,
Snowboard & Travel Show opens its doors at the Automotive
Building at Exhibition place on October 12th for a four day run, there
will be more than just the 200 exhibitors that draw the expected 30,000
ski and snowboard enthusiasts. The Show is famous for its ever changing
and spectacular entertainment and special exhibit feature areas.
The crowd-drawing entertainment includes the Jeep Jib Jam. From high
above the Show floor, professional skiers and snowboarders will roar down
an artificial snow-covered slope. Choreographed with popular music that
keeps the show and crowd revved up, the Jeep Jib Jam will astound visitors
of all ages!
Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership, an agency of the government's
Ministry of Tourism and Recreation responsible for promoting travel to
and within Ontario, is sponsoring the Ontario Aisle at the Show. Presented
by the Partnership and the Ontario Snow Resorts Association (OSRA), this
section of the Show will feature an extensive variety of Ontario resorts,
lodges and travel destinations. They will present the best Ontario has
to offer when it comes to alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding
on some of Ontario's finest groomed routes as well as snowshoeing trails
that are off the beaten track. Skilled travel counselors will help visitors
plan the best winter getaways ever.
In the Free Ride Theatre , sponsored by Ryeka Sport and Ontario Tourism,
it's thrills, spills, crashes and smashes as the latest international
ski and snowboard films are played on the big screen.

The Automotive Building at Exhibition Place is conveniently located near
downtown and close to major highways. There are acres of indoor and outdoor
parking. The facility is also served by the TTC and GO Train.
At the Show, winter sport exhibitors feature the latest in equipment,
fashion, resorts and travel advice. Visitors come to see and purchase
the latest equipment from retailers representing the major manufacturers
including Elan, Burton, Rossignol, Atomic, Flow, Columbia, Phoenix, Avalanche,
Sims, Head, Salomon, Dalbello, Nordica, Serengetti, Salice, Oakley and
Kombi. There are bargains galore, with special deals on skis, snowboards,
boots, bindings, poles, goggles, helmets, clothing and other accessories
for snowboarding and skiing. Skiers and snowboarders spend millions of
