Midland, ON - This year Wye Marsh is offering a special Introduction
to Birding workshop free with general admission on December
12th, from 1pm-3pm. Learn how to identify the many species that
call Wye Marsh home by understanding their natural habitat as
well as food sources that sustain different birds. This workshop
is in preparation for the 110th Audubon Christmas Bird count
held on Saturday, December 19th. Be part of the thousands of
volunteers participating in the project in over 2,000 communities
in Canada, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Your contribution provides valuable insight into the long-term
health of the birds as well as their natural habitat. Everyone
is welcome to join the fun!

Ski and snowboard enthusiasts won't have to wait much longer.
Snowmaking crews have been blowing snow for the past 96 hours
and will continue through the upcoming weekend. What has seemed
like a long and warm November has now transformed into December
with colder temperatures for snowmaking and plenty of natural
snowfall.

about women in Africa raising grandchildren who have been orphaned
by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Special guest Helen Silbiger of the

give an evening lecture. The Raging Grannies of Barrie will
open the event with song at 6:30 pm.
