Public Holidays-Statutory Holidays

Most public holidays occur on a Monday, with the exception of Easter and Good Friday plus Canada Day July 1, Christmas and Boxing Day, New Years Day fall on the exact day.   Institutions such as banks, schools, liquor stores, Canada Post offices and other government offices are closed on Public Holidays (Easter Monday, August Civic Holiday, Family Day have provincial exceptions)
