We Know Things To Do in Ontario!

And right now, you need to stay home! There are no events, no getaways, no reason to road trip. Check back later and keep your thoughts set on summer!! Stay safe and stay healthy.

You will never ask “What is happening north of Toronto (and in central and northern Ontario) this weekend”? again! Use our events calendar to find things to do in Ontario and even in Ontario this weekend or in the future. Whether you like to lay low and chill or get your rush from adrenaline-pumping activities and experiences – the calendar has events for everyone, in every season from the Bruce Peninsula to the Ottawa Valley!

Depending on your drive, you’ll find action anywhere from 1 hour away from Toronto to 5. Our events are not limited to highways 400 and 11 either. These are just the first two highway suggestions to travel north and find adventure in Ontario.

Night Skating by Torchlight at Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery

This winter, try night skating by torchlight. Every Saturday night (weather permitting), we’ll light over 400 torches around our Ice Trail for a magical night of skating under the stars. Add in hot mulled wine and you’ve got an amazing date night!

The trail will be open for night skating from 6 pm to 9 pm every Saturday night.  (weather permitting)

Our store will also be open for wine tasting and other winter warm ups like hot mulled wine, hot cranberry apple cider, hot chocolate and coffee. Other items on our winter menu include chili, soup and gourmet grilled cheese.

What you need to know

The ice trail is always subject to weather conditions. We haven’t lost many dates to weather over the past few seasons, but the possibility exists. We always recommend checking the most up-to-date trail conditions on Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery website before heading out.

Remember to dress warm and bundle up. Warm layers and a mug of hot mulled wine or cranberry apple cider should do the trick and keep you warm.

Other important tips to note:

  • The trail will be open 7 days a week
    • Weekdays: 11 am to 4:00 pm
    • Weekends: 10 am to 4:30 pm
    • Light the Night: Saturdays, 6pm – 9pm

NEW this is the Bog Hockey Acre: Skate on frozen cranberries. Includes 2 pond hockey surfaces – complete with boards and goals and a surface for learn-to-skate, strollers etc. Included with Ice Trail Pass.
