Gables Park, Barrie Image Gallery

More than any other Barrie park, The Gables offers one of the oldest growth forests in the area. Looming Oaks and Maples, Red Pines and the majestic White Pine create a canopy where the sky can only be seen in early spring and late fall when the leaves have fallen. This natural setting. offers many hiking trails leading to the shoreline of Kempenfelt Bay on Lake Simcoe. Ardent birders and birding enthusiasts can be found with their binoculars and cameras ready during the spring and fall staging of shore birds and waterfowl. The natural coves along the shoreline of the gables park offers up many surprises for the early morning and sunset birders.
