Sunshine City Theatre offers an exclusive Theatre Performance at the Orillia Opera House which includes dinner from the Sunshine menu at the Grape & Olive Wine & Martini Bistro (menu), an overnight stay and breakfast at the Best Western PLUS Mariposa Inn and Conference Center or the Champlain Waterfront Hotel, lunch at the famous Mariposa Market, a boat cruise on the entertaining Island Princess, and a visit to the Orillia Museum.

The package is best enjoyed as a two day ‘sunshine getaway’. Begin your getaway with dinner, followed by theatre then retreat back to the hotel for a comforting overnight stay. The next day, enjoy lunch before you set out on a scenic afternoon cruise. Although technically; each element of the package can be enjoyed separately on any day that you wish. The package consists of tickets and vouchers for each of the establishments that you can redeem throughout the season.

This artist-run, juried event is one of Ontario’s finest and longest running studio tours. Over thirty outstanding artists and crafts people will exhibit their work over the 4 days at 19 different studios.

Discover exceptional art and enjoy the beautiful fall colours of Simcoe County. You will meet painters, potters, sculptors, photographers, wood turners, jewellery and clothing makers – a wide selection with something for everyone. This self-guided Tour roams from Barrie through the scenic Horseshoe Valley and along the Lake Simcoe shores to Orillia. Come for the day, come for the weekend!

Treat yourself or someone you love to art classes at the MacLaren. All of our art classes and camps are led by regional artists and we have options for all ages (children, youth, adults) and all levels of experience. We are excited to offer our new roster of classes for children and youth, including classes on oil painting, abstract art, drawing, clay sculpture, PA Day workshops, summer camps and more.

The MacLaren offers up to twelve summer camps for children ages 6 to 13 years! Campers will have fun exploring a range of art media and innovative techniques in full-week camps throughout July and August. Create mixed-media artmaking, inspired by what you see and hear in Sound and Colour Camp or spend afternoons with regional artist Lois Green exploring drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture inspired the work of exhibiting artist Jaime Angelopoulos. Register today! Friends of the MacLaren receive a 10% discount on camp registration.

The Gallery Café at the MacLaren
The Gallery Café offers an appealing menu of wraps, paninis, salads, soups, quiches and more, made fresh daily with seasonal ingredients. Pair your selection with one of our certified fair trade and organic coffees, espressos or teas, or select from a variety of other specialty drinks.
