ATVing in Voyageur Country
Explore some of Eastern Canada’s most impressive terrain. ATV trails range from relatively smooth and wide gravel roads, to the most technical rock filled, mud clogged trails you can think of. Trails start from the Town of Mattawa Ontario or Bonfield Ontario – both ATV friendly towns with many great accommodation and dining options. A two minute ride from town, you will enter a vast wilderness dotted with scenic lakes, breathtaking vistas and world class trails. Whether you are looking for a leisurely ride or to push your limts there is a trail for you. Popular destinations along the trails include the Bird’s Eye View lookout, Boulter View, Devils Canyon, the Redbridge Bluffs, Kearney Lake and the infamous Mica Mine.
The Chapleau area is spidered with hundreds of miles of game trails, old logging roads and snowmobile trails. These are perfect trails for ATVing. ATVers can just take off into the bush and explore lakes and Brook Trout streams that are almost never fished because you can only access them with an ATV. Another interesting thing about Chapleau is there is a town bylaw that allows ATVers to drive on the road. You can boot around town and have lots of fun. You are not limited to the bush.

Green Wilderness Lodge is in the Gogama Wilderness Region, which is an ATV adventure paradise. The local terrain changes into many different environments. We have ATV trails, animal paths, old abandoned roads, clear-cut areas, swamps, ponds, rivers and rocky areas. All these conditions make for an awesome ATV trip.
You have the choice of staying high-and-dry or get as muddy as you want. Hunters are also welcome to bring their ATV, which is helpful in animal retrieval. All we ask is your ATV is in good operating condition, does not leak any fluids and has a good muffler. We need your machine to be quiet as to not disturb other guests or the environment.
