Clear Lake Village Resort - beach

Come see what Clear Lake Village has for you.

Situated on beautiful Clear Lake, the resort is located just minutes from Bala, Port Carling and Gravenhurst. The resort was first established in the early 1900’s, strategically located on the Sandy Bay of what was then known as Torrance Lake. Today, resort visitors continue to enjoy the same sparkling, spring-fed lake, known for its crystal clear waters, hard sand bottom and great bass fishing.

The resort property includes 11 well-kept cottages, spread over 12 beautiful forested acres and built in the classic Muskoka tradition. At the waterfront, a natural sand beach is great for swimming and sand castles. Rent our fishing boat, or take one of our complimentary non-motorized boats out for a tour of the lake. Enjoy a game of beach volleyball on our large sand court and let the kids play at the playground. Our fully fenced sports court provides for further activity – choose a game of tennis, basketball or floor hockey. Enjoy the Aquaglide Water Trampoline. Severn Lodge Starburst icon representing membership level: Gold+

Severn Lodge

Enjoy a fun-filled yet relaxing getaway at one of Ontario’s premier lakeside resorts in the heart of the world famous Muskoka – Georgian Bay lake district.  Located in a quiet sheltered cove on the northern shores of Gloucester Pool, part of the historic Trent Severn Waterway, the resort encompasses over 700 meters (2000 feet) of pristine shoreline and over 100 acres of property.  The views are breathtaking, and it is difficult to believe that the greater Toronto area is only a short 90 minute drive.

At Severn Lodge, we’re all about nature!  Nestled in a quiet sheltered bay, guests will be able to enjoy our canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and pedal boats as they explore hundreds of secluded bays and inlets.  Or, they can hike our wooded trails or take a ride on one of our mountain bikes.  All the while, they will be able to view nature at its’ best.  Our area is home to over 200 different species of birds, aquatic animals such as fish, frogs, and turtles, and more.  There are also small woodland animals such as squirrels, chipmunks, red fox, and others.  So, don’t forget to bring your cameras.

For those wishing a special treat, the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, about a 30 minute drive from the Lodge has guided eco tours where you can see various birds of prey, amphibians & reptiles.  Here also, is where the trumpeter swan has been nurtured, as it was once on the endangered species list.

The resort features:

  • Accommodation in a lake view room or suite
  • Delicious meals
  • Use of lodge’s recreation facilities including an outdoor swimming pool & whirlpool spa, sandy beach & lake swimming, waterpark featuring a 25’ water trampoline, water slide & climbing pyramid
  • Canoes, pedal boats, stand-up paddle boards, mountain bikes, 100 acres of wooded hiking trails, tennis, basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, fishing, and games room
  • Summertime water-skiing & tubing, and evening entertainment
  • Outboard boat & jet ski rentals
  • Daily maid service
  • Auto parking & baggage handling
  • Nearby (extra charge) there is a full service spa, championship golf courses, horseback riding, picturesque lakeside villages with shopping, historic attractions, live summer theatre, boat cruises, and more!

Severn Lodge also has several cottages & suites with kitchens where guests can do their own cooking.

Severn Lodge has been family owned and operated for nearly a century, and is dedicated to providing the highest standards of hospitality, comfort, and personal service.

The Lodge at Pine Cove Starburst icon representing membership level: Gold+

Guided Canoe Trips @ The Lodge at Pine Cove

Canoeing on Ontario’s French River is about as Canadian as Canada gets. If you have ever dreamed of paddling one of these quintessentially Canadian boats, why not combine it with a stay at the luxurious Lodge at Pine Cove?

Are you intrigued by what the fur traders and Voyageurs experienced during their early expeditions? Explore the French River as they did so many years ago with our ORCKA-certified canoe guide to take you there. These trips are ideal for any level paddler with your expert guide to provide cultural and natural history information — and teach or review paddling techniques along the way. The French River is unique in that the current is not noticeable either upstream or down – and rapids can easily be avoided, viewed from the shore, or quickly portaged. The perfect venue for both beginner and experienced paddlers.

Book a private trip and set your own pace and agenda in advance or as you go. All necessary gear is provided. A scrumptious gourmet picnic lunch is included on full-day trips. On half-day trips, book a Lodge lunch, picnic lunch, or 3-course dinner before or after your adventure and regale us with tales of wildlife sightings and your discoveries.

After enjoying the delicious hamper breakfast that’s delivered to your door, saunter over to the beach where your guide will meet you to embark on your French River paddling adventure.

To book, please call for availability well in advance of the day you’d like to go.
Guided canoe trips from $240 for two people.

Groups of up to eight can be accommodated, please enquire about pricing.

Dates: May to October 2016
