We are located on the south shore of beautiful Lake Nipissing, 3 hours north of Toronto and just 15 minutes south of North Bay. We are located in one of the most sheltered locations on the lake so no matter the weather our guests can get out fishing.
We have 21 boats in our fleet. Our entry level boat is a 16′ Lund boat with 3 swivel seats livewell, fishfinder, raised casting platform, running lights and a 25 H.P. Mercury 4 stroke motor. One of our boat upgrades is a 16′ Lund boat with a trolling motor and a 30 H.P. Mercury 4 stroke motor. (19 new motors in 2016 – 4 upgrades to choose from).

There are over 30,000 islands and over 100,000 shoals on Georgian Bay. Each island has its own character ranging from bare rock to lush forests and the further from mainland the more rugged and barren the islands become. Join us aboard the 550-passenger Island Queen or our new 40-passenger Islander as we explore these fascinating islands which make up the UNESCO-designated Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve. The Island Queen departs daily for two and three-hour sightseeing cruises among the islands while the smaller Islander departs daily for scenic tours to island restaurants for lunch and tours to Huckleberry Island for guided walks and of course, a swim at our very own secluded natural beach. Built into the hillside, this newly renovated 2 story 2500 square foot beauty boasts a Great Room with oak furniture, gas fireplace and air conditioning. The Algonquin Room (screened in porch) overlooks the Oxtongue Lake and can be accessed from the Great Room as well as from the extra-large deck. This is a wonderful 4 bedroom cottage with a King bed in 2 rooms, 2 Queens in the third and a twin in the fourth bedroom. The main upper level bathroom has a 5 foot wide multi-head shower and 2 person hydrotherapy tub. The lower level has a second bathroom with a standalone shower, and a second TV room. Very private, a true country treasure.

We organize adventure and sightseeing tours in Ontario and Quebec City. Our group tours are designed for solo travellers and small groups. If you wish to travel only with your group of friends, family or business partners, we can organize private tour or transportation.
Prices of group tours are very reasonable and we we don’t have minimum number of people for private tours. We travel in cars, minivans and 15 passenger vans, but we can also organize school bus or coach bus tours.
Our tour guides are experienced locals, who grew up in Ontario or lived in Ontario for past 10 years and know the area very well. Our tours are not just regular bus tours, we take you as our friend, not just a customer and we make sure to talk to everyone in the group. So don’t worry if you travel alone, we guarantee you, that you will meet new friends on our tours!
Travelling Chicken offers several trip styles to cater to your needs. If you are interested in any of the short trips and you prefer to travel just with your friends, family or business clients alone we can organize a private tour just for your group. We can accommodate small or large groups such as corporate corporate groups, student groups, family reunion or esl students.
Simply send us email with the size of your group, dates of travel and your travel interests. We can organize guided or self guided tours with the car rental and hotel packages or airport pick up. We can plan outdoor adventure tours, sigthseeing tours, foodie tours, overnight tours or day tours.
