Glass Fusion – Holiday Edition

Join us for a three hour class to discover your creative side. There is no previous glass experience necessary. Bring your friends (minimum of 3, maximum of 5) and create your choice of glass jewellery, Christmas ornaments, or a variety of Christmas gifts! All materials, tools, and instruction is provided.
This is for basic moccasin making, a prerequisite for mukluks, lined, fur-cuffed, or beaded moccasin making. Classes will be held for 2-10 students at a cost of $150/person for the day. Included: tanned hide for moccasin body, leather lacing, pattern making, needles and sinew for stitching, all instruction and assistance to complete the project in one day. Bring your own lunch.
Sip, Swill and Savour
Tingle your taste buds on this guided tour of the craft breweries and winery located along Highway 118 between Haliburton and Carnarvon. An entertaining guide will be your designated driver as you step behind the scenes to experience the beer, food, and personalities of the Haliburton Highlands. You will enjoy great tastes, stories, and some special surprises.

Sleigh Bells Ring
This adventure will have you dashing through the snow on a two horse open sleigh ride. Local character Irvin Holland and his horses will take you through forest and field and a maple sugar bush. You will also meet Jack and Ginnie and their son Oliver – the resident donkey family who always love treats and attention.
Walk into Winter
Take a walk on the wild side. Start your day with an introduction to snowshoes – history, types, techniques, and tips. After some practice you will head out on a wilderness walk with a winter travel expert to discover the ecology of winter and the finer points of winter travel and survival. You will also enjoy some good stories, warm hospitality, and a tasty bush lunch prepared over a campfire. Snowshoeing is a great way of exploring the Haliburton Highlands.
Ski Like a Canadian
Canadians love to ski. It is a quiet way of exploring the natural wonders of winter. Come glide into winter with this half day introduction to cross country skiing.
