The Algonquin Cottage Outpost and Algonquin Island retreat are both located on beautiful Kawawaymog (Round) Lake at the Northwest corner of Algonquin Park. The Island Retreat is located 1 km in the middle of the lake and a short paddle from Algonquin Park Access Point #1. With 360-degree water views and two decks, the cabin secluded, cozy, and is fantastic for artists or couples looking for a quiet getaway in the wilderness.
The Algonquin Cottage Outpost is located on the West shore of the lake. With over 1000 feet of shoreline, 6 bedrooms, 3 washrooms 2 docks, a stone terrace and best of all, the floating sauna, the Cottage Outpost was designed for groups of 12–15 who love the water. The solar-powered cottages are comfortable and offer a wide range of packages from extra canoe/paddle rentals to fully-guided adventures with tasty meals. Canoe into the sunrise, look for moose, fish for trout or bass, swim, kayak, sup, and explore the Amable du Fond River; there’s always plenty to do at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost.
The Algonquin Log Cabin is Voyageur Quest’s most popular Algonquin Park lodge-based package and is the perfect choice if you’re looking to be active and learn about Algonquin’s wilderness. This 3-day trip is packed with unique guided excursions by canoe and on food, and no experience is required! The cabin, which can host up to 12-16 guests, features a massive, stone fireplace, a wood-fired sauna, 2 decks and unique, guided excursions.
