Kids Camp is where it all begins for young skiers and riders new to winter sports. Lessons are tailored to individual skill levels and informed with the goals that you share with us. Kids Camp is a half day or a full one (with lunch) filled with snow games where students might even learn a few tricks before you come back to hear all about it.

Have your children enjoy 3 days of children’s programs at Abbey Gardens! Each day will be different and will include a day of outdoor exploration and fun activities, Abbey Gardens’ style!  Participate in all four day programs offered or choose individual programs:  “Sweet Spring”, “Kids in the Kitchen”, “Earth’s Treasures”, “Clay animal creations” and “Clay plate creations”. These programs are suitable for ages 6-11 and all include physical activity, snack, craft and are led by experienced educators. Cost is $30-$36 per child. Extended hours available to better accommodate your schedule!  Drop off at 9:00am for an additional $5.00; pick up at 4:00pm for an additional $5.00.

This adventure will have you dashing through the snow on a two horse open sleigh ride. Local character Irvin Holland and his horses will take you through forest and field and a maple sugar bush. You will also meet a family of donkeys, and even the small but mighty horse, Pete, who follows behind on the sleigh ride to make sure everyone is having fun!

This is for basic moccasin making, a prerequisite for mukluks, lined, fur-cuffed, or beaded moccasin making. Classes will be held for 5 students at a cost of $150/person for the day. Included: tanned hide for moccasin body, leather lacing, pattern making, needles and sinew for stitching, all instruction and assistance to complete the project in one day. Bring your own lunch.

The Wye Marsh keeps things natural, for kids ages 6-12; we provide activities such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, orienteering, GPS navigation, bannock roasting, live animal demonstrations (birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians, trumpeter swans), feeding chickadees and crafts etc. Ages 6-12
