Summer Agricultural Fairs

Agricultural summer fairs in Ontario resort destinations offer family fun. Fresh produce and foods offer family summer outdoors experiences in a carnival setting. Entertainment and amusement park fun are for families during the vacations and holiday season.

Agricultural Fairs, Farmers’ Markets and Rural Hospitality

The greatest opportunity to enjoy rural hospitality and heritage in Ontario is at a country fair, a local farmers’ market or at a special food related culinary event.  Each year the first Saturday in August celebrates the agriculture, restaurant and local food industries in Canada.

Many of the resort chefs in cottage country will enter ‘best of food contests’ as well as host special harvest events. Many destinations will hold a celebrate food or food heritage event during the harvest season. See our featured culinary events, or visit a resort dining room on a culinary getaway and experience unique Ontario menus.
