Ontario Snowmobiling

One of Ontario’s best snow seasons is here. Trails are open in the traditional Ontario snow belt resort areas. Check the Snow and Road Conditions before heading out. Visitors looking for winter outdoor fun on the trails can  add  one or several Snowmobile Poker Runs..  If you always wanted to take a snowmobile ride here are some tips for snowmobile beginners and safety tips for everyone who plans on snowmobiling this winter.

The Highway 400 & Highway 11 corridor is the major access route into Ontario’s snowmobiling and snowmobile resort country passing by the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs head office in Barrie. Many of the resort properties listed below provide a great variety of snowmobile trails for visitors to Ontario cottage country  for snowmobile vacations. Many properties are right on one of the 100’s of trail systems, or very close by for easy snowmobile trail access. From Barrie, to Midland, Muskoka, Barry’s Bay, Algonquin, Blind River, Lavigne, Minden, Haliburton, Purdy, Ontario is a winter snowmobile paradise.

Snowmobile Clubs will assist in any requirements for the winter snowmobile season. Trail Permits are required are now on sale at many snowmobile dealers and other retailers throughout Ontario, or direct from local snowmobile clubs. Check with one of the resorts below for assistance.

We are located on Trail 74 of The Muskoka Snowmobile Region on Oxtongue Lake. We have been a supporter of the Round Algonquin Park (RAP) Tour since its inception.

Blue Spruce has always been a big supporter of the Algonquin Snowmobile Club. Scott has been on the executive since 1986 and President for 20 years.

We have plenty of room for parking trucks and trailers and special allowances can be arranged for any one starting out on an extended trip. Trails permits can be purchased online and maps are available on site; fuel is nearby.

We have one, two and three bedroom cottages which all have fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, gas BBQ’s and fully equipped kitchens. Studios and Suites are single bedroom with a kitchen. Suites have a fireplace, just bring your food and everything is ready for you to enjoy your holiday. For those wishing to have others do the cooking, restaurants are available nearby.

The groomer leaves from the Resort every night; as such, we are guaranteed of groomed trails to our front door every time the groomer goes out. Our associates are some of the most knowledgeable in the industry. We are Snowmobilers!
