Halloween

October is the month for Halloween fun with many haunting events and spooky festivals taking place on weekends after Thanksgiving. The lead up to the October 31 weekend start to Halloween will see many resort destinations celebrating the scariest night of the year.

We’ll be showing ”The Nightmare Before Christmas” as voted by the people on the big screen at the 509 Bay Street Parking Lot (At King St). The movie will start at dusk. Bring your own lawn chair.

Haunted Halloween Weekend

The fun begins on Friday night with our owl prowl, that is sure to be a hoot! Join us at the Visitor Centre on Saturday where a Park Naturalist will guide you through a collection of animal skeletons. Mew Lake Campground will feature “pick of the patch” pumpkin carving, spookiest campsite and best costume contests. Everyone is invited to participate in trick-or-treating among the campsites on Saturday night, and later, for a howling good time at the nearby Old Airfield with a wolf howl. We will be roasting creepy crawly spider wieners and ghostly marshmallows.
