Since its inception in 1944, the WRS has been providing access and logistical support for University and government researchers from Ontario and across North America. The WRS is situated on Lake Sasajewun in Algonquin Provincial Park and operates as a non-for-profit organization. The AWRS’s Tim Winegard in partnership with Tapley Nature Trail’s renowned naturalist, expedition guide and photographer Robin Tapley and Jamie Giardini have developed new programs to highlight wildlife research in Algonquin Park.
