Parks in Ontario resort destinations offer some of the best travel experiences at a reasonable price. The park attractions offer outdoor recreation activities–some are FREE. Visitors on vacation north of Toronto have a number of spectacular provincial and national parks to visit.

Best Ontario Parks North of Toronto

Many spectacular park areas are must see attractions on a day trip during your resort family getaway or romantic vacation north in Ontario. Each year Canada’s Parks Day is the third Saturday in July where a number of parks hold special events and activities.  Some offer free admission or free activities. Parks Canada offers free admission on Canada Day.

Park Admission Costs

Most provincial and national parks have admission fees.  Parks Canada runs many National Historic Sites, some of which charge an admission fee.

Camping at parks

Most parks offer camping on site for visitors wanting to make the day trip into an overnight experience. Check reservations for provincial parks and reservations at national parks.
