Summer heat gets even hotter if you are tied up in stop and go traffic at Highway 400 and 11. Our suggestion is to cool off with a side trip into Barrie and a quick swim at one of three downtown Barrie Beaches on Lake Simcoe. Take HWY 93 into Barrie from Highway 11 & Highway 400 and turn at Johnson Street for Johnson Beach; Off of Highway 400 take Bayfield Street towards the lake for Centennial Beach, or take Huronia Road (10th side road from Innisfil) to Minets Point Beach.
